Why Groodles?
Ever wondered what the outcome would be if you combined the most intelligent dog breed in the world with the most affectionate?
Intelligence, charm, good looks…
We’re here to vouch for the Groodle breed, they have it all! They’re just as smart as they are handsome. Groodles are excellent companions for people at all stages of life. Their super smart, inquisitive nature (Poodle) makes obedience training a dream and their loving, affectionate tendencies (Golden Retriever) allow them to seamlessly fit right into families of all different shapes and sizes.
Our Groodles are the product of many years of breeding a Groodle with a Groodle, making them F3 Third-Generation, or ‘Multigenerational’ Groodles. This means that their genetics are more predictable than earlier generations and we use this predictability to determine the size, coat type, and temperament of your future puppy. Third-Gen Groodle pups have a much lower chance of any health issues opposed to earlier generations due to the selection of our health-tested parents and boast a more consistent temperament that they take from our loyal and loving Mummas.
Gold Coast Groodles have Medium or ‘Mini’ Groodles, as well as Standard size, allowing you to choose a Groodle that fits perfectly with your lifestyle and personality! One of the best things about Groodles is their low-shedding and hypoallergenic coats, fleece or wool, which means they're great for those with allergies.
Our Groodles
Fleece Coat
Que teddy bear vibes! The open fleece coat is characterised by soft, wavy or loose curls that are open and flow freely, and is considered the most desirable coat type due to its low-shedding and hypoallergenic qualities – it’s the shaggy, teddy bear look! The coat can vary in length and color, and requires regular brushing to maintain its soft, silky texture. It's important to note that tightness of the coat’s curl can vary even within the same litter.
Wool Coat
No hair on the lounge? How is this possible! The wool coat is characterised by tight, curly hair that forms dense, wool-like curls, just like the Poodle (or a sheep). This type of coat is the lowest-shedding hypoallergenic option, making it very popular for those who have allergies as it traps hair and dander so less hair is shed. The wool coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting and tangling, and professional grooming should be scheduled every six to eight weeks to keep the coat in good condition.
